The Band - Steve Hogan - Drums

Steve Hogan was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1973. Playing drums from an early age, he spent all his spare time during his school years with various young bands. After Steve left school, he started taking music and especially his drum playing a lot more seriously.

During his late teens, Steve relocated to London. It was here that he started playing with more serious bands and artists. He toured Europe quite extensively and also was engaged by some major record companies as a session drummer, playing on various recordings.

After two years, Steve moved back to Ireland and immediately went to work. He found himself amerced in the blues scene. He secured an endorsement deal with Zildjian Cymbals at this time, and was also part of My Little Funhouse, a band who were signed to Geffen Records, and enjoying critical acclaim in the USA

After this Steve played with various Irish artists including Brian Kennedy. He has also toured with two of the Riverdance troops both in Europe and America. He was also part of the Gaelforce Dance band for their appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Steve was brought in at the early stages, and has already played on five of the first recordings for " Ellavation ". He will be back in the studio at the start of January to work on more tracks for the album.

Steve is endorsed by Mapex Drums and Zildjian Cymbals
